Every   where   we   look

Marks   in   the   Territory

That   is   the   Soul

Local Sunshine Coast artist Debra Dougherty has her first Solo Art Exhibition at the Old Railway Station Gallery, Pomona.

This exhibition shows the Artists' progressive visual story, including many expressive colourist paintings created over 20 years. The images show a repetition of mark making has emerged. These marks tell the story of the feelings and philosophy the artist experiences. Many Ways of Being - Debra Dougherty The images reflect real life situations such as remembering being near a big burn off or grass fire as a little child. Some paintings are dream like and reflect desired beliefs such as wanting to just be a part of the wind or waves.
