Members of the Hinterland Art Group have put their own perspective on the King of the Mountain race.

Their current exhibition, "Achieving Heights - All The Way To The Top", was launched in conjunction with the famous Pomona race and was opened by Hinterland Art Group president Lies Donovan.

Works include mixed mediums and depict elements of the King of the Mountain race from start to finish.

The contributing artists are at various stages of their artistic journey in various disciplines such as painting, pottery, ceramics, woodwork and photography. Some are professional, some have received art awards and prizes, some have been commissioned to do works, some teach and for some the journey has just begun.

This exhibition tells the story of the mountain, the journey, both physically and artistically. It tells a story of inspiration, interpretation and expression.

The exhibition is on at the Old Railway Gallery untill August 26.
